COVID-19: Mahler festival and NPO-Radio 4

The Royal Concertgebouw had to cancel its Mahler-festival, and went online. On May 17 there was an online-stream of the new symphonic cinema film about Mahler, “The Echo of Being”, with music by the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Together with Marina Mahler Antony gave an exciting interview about this film.

On NPORadio4 all Mahler-symphonies were broadcasted during that same week. Antony was asked to take the listeners along their Mahler-discoveries for the symphonies 4, 6 and 9. The latter was followed by the 5-star-broadcast of the North Netherlands Orchestra, recorded in December 2019.
