Teaching conducting in Covid-times...
As WAGNER already said: “IMAGINATION creates REALITY”… Even in the middle of a pandemic…
Suddenly we are allowed to use the big “HAITINK-zaal” at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam… Suddenly we are quickly organizing a high-level MINI-ORCHESTRA playing their heart out for our highly motivated CONDUCTING-CLASS of the CONSERVATORIUM van AMSTERDAM. Suddenly we find a fantastic soprano... And suddenly we have THREE full, inspiring and super-intense days with glorious music, a.o. TRISTAN Vorspiel and Liebestod! Lots of special learning experiences for everybody, and lots of shining eyes. As Benjamin Zander already said: “Possibility is only one sentence away…!”
Marvelous moments, sharing love for Puccini, together with the great Natalyia Romaniw and the wonderful students of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland!
And great days with the students of the NATIONAL MASTER ORCHESTRAL CONDUCTING…!
FIFTEEN (!) full hours of “YOUNG-CONDUCTORS-SUPPORT” in two weekend-days… The art of ACCOMPANYING with fabulous Thomas Beijer - in Schumann and Chopin. Preparing a new version of a wonderful piece by Martijn Padding. "Bar change practices" with swinging STRAWINSKY. Celebrating 250 years iconic BEETHOVEN with Nr. 3 and 5. String quartet and 2 amazing pianists. And very talented, open-minded young conductors, courageous to dive deep!
