TREMENDOUS TRISTAN IN TRONDHEIM

In Trondheim I had the enormous privilege to come back to TRISTAN UND ISOLDE, in the symphonic compilation of Henk de Vlieger. Beautiful and very emotional playing of the fantastic Trondheim Symphony Orchestra. And alongside the sensational voice and personality of Barbara Kozelj, who performed magnificently Berg's "7 frühe Lieder".

MAHLER 9 with RESIDENTIEORKEST

I write this on sunday morning, still deeply in “reflection blues”, after a very moving week with the most sensible music - and the most sensible musicians of the incredible Residentie Orkest. A completely sold out hall, joining us in spellbinding, deafening silences and almost unmanageable energy.

Gustav Mahler hit us, deep - and right in our souls.

The concert started with Brahms Gesang der Parzen, sung by the fantastic North Netherlands Concert Chorus, which was without any interruption by Mahlers last symphony. The spellbinding silence of almost one minute at the end of the concert said it all.

Deep humanity with Bartók BLUEBEARD

Antony takes the amazing National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands into the suspicious old Milk Factory of Arnhem (NL) to perform Bartóks one-act opera masterpiece, in a very moving staging by Kenza Koutchoukali and amazing lighting by Teus van der Stelt.
