Antony: “When I was 13 years old, I was lucky to meet Pieter van Moergastel, who taught me music theory, let me accompany all high level choirs of both him and his wife Lia, and was such an important and inspiring mentor for me during all my music studies.

Before his wife Lia died last year, she decided to give their grand piano to KUNSTPODIUM DONGEN, the music school where her grand-daughter studies. And she wished to organise a charity-concert where both her daughter Edith, her grand-daughter Lotte and me were playing.

This afternoon we fulfilled her wish, and for a packed hall I returned to the keys and played some Chopin, Gershwin, Pärt and Liszt - and I conducted the music school orchestra in Vivaldi’s Winter. Such a special feeling - and so grateful for this little hommage to these inspiring musical mentors...”
